Why does CCAH use an online donation button or donation basket?

1. CCAH is the Lord's Church

Calvary Chapel Anaheim Hills (CCAH) belongs to God, as expressed when Jesus told Peter, "I will build My church" (Matthew 16:18). This affirms that CCAH is not a human institution seeking financial gain but a group where followers of Christ gather to worship Him and advance His kingdom. The church's focus is to fulfill God's calling, ministering through the provision and guidance He provides, rather than through conventional fundraising methods or material wealth.

2. The Lord Doesn't Need Money but Your Heart

God, being self-sufficient, does not require human wealth. In Acts 17:25, Paul reminds us that God is not served by human hands, "as though He needed anything," because He gives life and all things. Therefore, offerings, tithes, gifts, or donations are not payments to God but expressions of love, faith, and obedience to His Word. God desires our hearts, and giving is a demonstration of where our heart is with Him. As Jesus taught in Matthew 10:37, loving God above all else—including family and possessions—is essential to being worthy of Him. It is not the amount we give but the love and devotion that accompany our giving.

3. A Donation Basket or Online Donation Button as a Reflection of Your Love for God

In today's world, shaped by capitalism and materialism, money has become central to human life. However, how we allocate our financial resources reflects the priorities of our heart. As Matthew 6:21 states, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." CCAH uses a donation basket or online donation button as a way for individuals to examine their love for God, gauging it through their willingness to support His work. These tools are not for fundraising but rather to encourage believers to align their financial priorities with their faith, recognizing that where one’s money goes often indicates where their heart lies.

CCAH follows a Spirit-led approach, relying on God's provision rather than human efforts to seek funds. Therefore, donations at CCAH serve as a personal testament to one’s love for God, and are gratefully accepted as an act of faith and commitment to advancing His kingdom. Note that we do tolerate others' fund raising for godly things which are in Jesus, because of the supremacy of Agape love.

To God/Heaven; Not to men -- No commercial activity between men; Only between you and God.

The 10% of whatever income, first to God, where every natural man is fraudulently possessed via Adam by the devil,  mandatory in Old Testament (OT); in New Testament (NT),  recommendatory for God’s glory where every Christian 100 % is possessed again via Jesus by God; although God always owns all creatures ultimately.

As a reference, CCAH (the souls in Christ) by offline & online is indigent but rich toward God (Luke 12:21) because of nearly half donation given away for the outside of this church (for missions in Philippians 4:15-19 & for charity in Matthew 25:40) based upon her faith of "one church (Eklesia) on the earth" (e.g. in 2013, 43.72%; in 2014, 40.61%; in 2015, 49.18%, etc.-- a poor church in material but a rich church to give away), rather than spent it for any man-made programs. But above half donation for the internal ministries following the model of the early church in the Book of Acts is spent for His sheep to be fed with spiritual food & spiritual drink (Galatians 6:6; 1 Cor 10:3-4) and for staff (1 Timothy 5:17-18).

Every donated thing must be in good condition (e.g., not expired medicine/food cans/drinks, not shabby clothes/shoes/toys, clean title of land/property, clean stock ledger,...)
